Get 2 back when you evolve or transfer now though instead of 1) Double XP (stacks with lucky egg) Double dust (all sources) 1/3 distance required for Egg hatching (ie 2k eggs take 0.7) 1/3 distance required for buddy candies More random pokemon spawn around you Also Articuno and Lugia Raids.

    Did 8 raids to get 1 of both legendary available. Facebook messenger groups for my city are how they were all coordinated. Also good lord, do not neglect all the bonuses to chase the legendaries! Every Pidgey you catch with a pinap (200xp+ for just the catch) can then be evolved with just the 12 candies you get from that catch, which, with a lucky egg in mass evolving, means you're getting at least 2200 xp per pidgey caught.

    So the event went terribly (in Chicago), becuase Niantic was not prepared at all for people actually showing up. Results of the event though is that all 6 bonuses will last 48 hours (starting who knows when), Lugia will be the first Legendary to appear in raids during that same 48 hour time frame. Second legendary to show up will be Articuno, because Team Mystic did the most catching during the event.

    I've gotten two Tyranittars from raids, and now I think I'm gonna focus on Machamps for a bit, as they're gonna be the best way to kill Blisseys. Fuck Blissey. The closer to 3,000 it is, the longer it takes to beat, and I've timed out against a 299x one before with a 3,075 Dragonite.

    I saw a Tyrannitar spawn, and immediately spent my ticket on it, hoping spoofers showed up, if no one else. Of course, no one did, and I got my butt kicked.     So all the level one raids in my entire vicinity today were Croconaws. Like I saw 4-5 of them, and nothing else. I saw a level 3 Vaporeon up, and several lvl 3/4 eggs that hadn't hatched yet, but couldn't stick around the hour required to see what they turned into. Also, my 1800 cp Venusaur solo'd the 5000 Croconaw, so that was easy.

    I just did my first raid, and it was rather easy - It was a 4300 CP Bayleef (not even Meganium), and it died in seconds to a group of 5. Got a few golden razz and revives, and we got to catch a a lvl 20 Bayleef. Something to note - the Bayleefs did not all have the same IVs across those who caught it - one guy had a 15/15/x with 80%+ perfection, while mine was 75% perfection 13/10/11 (708 cp)

    Or a bicycle. Or running. Or any speed faster then a walk, because if something would have spawned at the outer edge of your radius, well, now you have to have hope you pass it by on that 1 second every 10 for it to appear. Even then walking you can pass them by. And its not like you know which direction to be walking to walk TOWARDS them, because there is no tracker.

    So niantic nerfed the refresh rate for the scanner again. When the game first came out, it refreshed every 1 second (that is, the game checked every 1 second to see if there was a pokemon in your visual range, and if there was, it would appear clickable on your screen). Last update they nerfed it to 5 seconds. Now they stealth nerfed it again to 10 seconds. This completely fucks over anyone who's trying to play on a bus or a bike or the passenger seat of a car.     You can tell which spawns are the incense spawns as they have a purple swirl of smoke around them. You get 1 every 5 minutes, or 1 every 1 minute if you move 200 meters in that 1 minute. Or at least thats what it was prepatch. Who knows if that has changed too. Edit: So Go is getting fucked pretty hard in a few ways right now. First is massive negative reviews in the App stores.     I get an absurd amount of the same pokemon from 5k eggs, which seems unlikely- I personally think theres some non-rng factor effecting what hatches. Whether it be where you pick up the egg, where you are when it hatches, or something else, I dunno, but it feels really painful to hatch 3 poliwags in a row.

    So a lot of moves were nerfed and buffed. Biggest hits to the meta are Lick, Water Gun, and Mud Shot were all hit hard.     Huh, I've been hitting the same Squirtle nest for 3 days in a row now. Yesterday and the day before the spawn rate was miserable (like 1 Squirtle every 20-30 minutes, sometimes a second one would spawn if you were super lucky), but today it was MUCH better (like 1 Squirtle every 10 minutes). I guess it got changed from a shitty squirtle nest to a good squirtle nest, something im super happy with.

    The most likely theory for the 3 footprints bug is that its intentional on Niantic's part. Because of things like Pokevision, which only uses information found through the game, we know the game for sure knows the exact location of every pokemon in your range. We also know for sure the game knows where YOU are. That's pretty obvious. So how is there a disconnect between a straight line drawn from you and the pokemon, and how long that line is?     Last I had seen is that they had picked up on this (the assumption was that no nest pokemon had an attack IV over 3), but they didn't have enough confirmation to prove it. It definitely feels super real to me- I've spent around the last 10 days at different nests, and never get any good IV%s.

    So theres a thing in this game called "nests". Its an area that has an extremely high spawn rate for a particular uncommon pokemon. They are usually found in places like Parks. I went to a Charmander nest. Depending on where you live, people are documenting nest locations pretty heavily.

    You know whats annoying? Abras. When I was at the nest farming them, they held true to game- If the first ball didn't catch them, they ran. Every single time. I caught around 30, but had another 10-15 run on me.

    A lower CP vaporeon will crush a Jolteon. Sad news for Nests: Silph Road research is starting to show that maybe you only get shitty IVs from nests. The 30 Abras I caught today certainly followed that trend, none of them had a max potential over 73%. I had noticed the charmanders I had been farming at a different nest had all been shitters, but I thought that was just bad luck.

    Thats how I play the game- I'll go to some park in the greater miami/ft lauderdale area for a few hours, aiming to catch a specific pokemon. Luckily I'm not the only one researching which park has which nest, so I knew where I was going today had Growlithes. Caught 13 in the span of two hours!

    So you shouldn't level any up for a long time. See, pokemon you catch/own can only be as high level as you are. If you're level 5, you'll only see/catch pokemon that are level 1-5. But say you're level 10. Now you see/catch pokemon that are 1-10. A pokemon you catch now is stronger then one you trained up to level 8. It's better to hoard dust for much later on, and candies for mass evolutions (which is the most efficient way to level up).

    To be fair, that would also mean he'd need to find gyms with empty slots or spend time training one up. Whereas if he is the other team, he can go around at non-prime times (for example, until around 11 am around me), grab 5-8 gyms, and then defender bonus. No one keeps gyms very long around me, but its always faster to take down a level 4 enemy gym then it is to train up one of my gyms to level 3. [IMG]

    Wooo! Hatched a Lapras finally. First good 10 km egg I've had in a LONG time (usually get Pinsers and Jynxs. Like 2-3 of each from eggs), and it was decently IV'd (84-88% of perfect, but couldnt narrow it down between the two, even as I powered it up). Didn't have enough candies to get it all the way though, sadly, so its stuck around 3-4 ticks short of max level. 1894 CP and 174 HP though : )

    You can't skip em. And yeah, I walked somewhere between 6 and 10 km today hunting charmanders in a 2 hour span, then probably another 1-2 at a happy hour/restaurant sponsored Go event. Got a really sweet burger for $5 off, and then half off my first drink and the second one was free. With around 3 lures surrounding me while eating and another set of hotspots fairly close. Was a good night!

    That is true, but its not the whole story. Things like attack speed (and thus, attack damage per second/dps) play a huge role in how much damage you're actually doing. Also stuff like typing matters.
