    As I understand it, a lot of it was. Apparently a ton of Nazi war criminals that have been put on trial in Germany over the past decades have been both charged and convicted under the Third Reich's legal code, meaning that a good chunk of what the Nazis were doing was illegal by their own laws. In a way, it's a little funny how lazy they actually were about the legalities once Hitler was in power.

    That depends entirely on what definition you're using, and I haven't seen any unified idea of just what a "Millennial" is. I've seen people claim that anyone born in or after 1983 is a millennial, while others say it's anyone born after December 31, 1999, and still more people will quote any random number in between. And "Gen Z" is even more nebulous and arbitrary, so as far as I'm concerned the joke works just fine.
