    Title: Divided
    Author: Para_Docks
Rating: T but it's a Worm story so it's not exactly sunshine and rainbows
    Genre: AU
    Status: WIP
    Fandom: Worm
    Pairings: None
Summary: An Alternate Earth in which parahumans are hunted down by the PRT ruthlessly and either subjugated or sent to 'The Birdcage'. Taylor Hebert alongside several other Parahumans are discovered by the PRT and are picked up by The Court, led by the strongest Parahumans they've grown up fearing.

Heya guys, first time making a review thread so apologies if I've messed up, the story is pretty original for a Worm fic forgoing A LOT of stations of Canon in order to create a believable AU-verse.

The story starts pretty consistent with canon, with a locker event and Taylor having bug powers, everything goes south when she and Sophia are outed as Parahumans alongside numerous canon Wards and other teenage BB parahumans. They escape Brockton Bay with The Nine led by The Black Knight (Or as we know him Jack Slash). A subsection of a group known as The Court led by the Faerie Queen who perform guerrilla style raids against the PRT.

The Faerie Queen recognises The Queen Administrator shard and claims Taylor as a 'Noble' of the Court alongside other like The Black Knight, Eidolon and Chevalier and she is essentially thrown in the deep end and escalates as usual.

So it's a pretty good story for Taylor attempting to balance the cape politics in The Court and also trying to work out how to be the leader of a parahuman group.

The cast of characters is pretty diverse with canon characters coming from unexpected angles due to the divergences, theres no Cauldron either which is quite refreshing.

I'd say 4/5 for me definitely.

A good idea and decent characterisation that's sometimes let down by the word-dumpy writing style. Take this:

It's literally an info dump of costumes one at a time, and really grinds my gears - I just skipped it after the first two or three.

That being said, it is a lot of fun to read and the author does good work on the world building and characters don't talk like robots which is always good. The interludes are good, more than just reaction scenes.

I don't think this is a 4/5 fic, but I'm rating it that anyway because I think it deserves more than its current 3/5.

I was a big fan up until we got to the part where
the girl who got her powers a few months (weeks?) back and has barely started figuring out what she's doing or where she stands in the court decided to take out Heartbreaker and everyone goes along with it.

    3/5 from me.
