Yeah, that proxy ghost cheese by uThermal was sick as hell. uThermal just completely predicted his opponents and went aggro based on metagame reads, and it was great.

Dreamhack's second day winding down. We'll have the finalists after the next series between Bly and Violet.

Gogo Bly. :D Been playing Starcraft 2 since Wings of Liberty, always always competing in every online tournament possible. Very dedicated to the game.

Bly v Violet was a fun series to watch. Really didn't expect Violet to get knocked out like that though :/

The last game was pretty intense at the end!

Bly knocks out both Koreans in the tournament.

    Blyonfuckin'fire.

God, I hope he takes the final. He's been so incredibly dedicated to this game for 6 years.

On one hand Bly deserves to win. On the other he plays Zerg, and Zerg on LOTV deserve absolutely nothing.

    Hum.

Doesn't matter where you go, balance complaints will always be there. :D

There's really not much to whine about, balance-wise, especially for anyone below Master-GM. If you're below that point, you're not macroing well enough. At the highest level, everything is so in flux and the meta is changing so much that it's silly to declare anyone overpowered or not.

Terran have been shown to have a really bad win-rate at the moment, but there are 6 of them in Code S compared to 3 zerg/Protoss. And hell, even with all the Terran complaints about the Protoss match-up, UThermal manages to dominate most of his Protoss opponents by showing a completely different style than the usual.

The meta will shift, and next week Zerg will be weak because their best strategies are figured out.

In the beginning of Heart of the Swarm, Terran was pronounced completely fucking broken because of.. speed-boost medivacs. Because no one had dealt with them before. So people learned how to deal with them, and all those imba complaints against speed-boost medivacs disappeared. It's how the game develops.

Come on, man. How can you complain about Zerg when Adepts are a thing in LotV.

Rehio that's nice, but Zerg got majority of buffs throughout a variety of units that make the race completely obnoxious to play against.

Hell, don't take it from me, take it from Bly. Zerg OP.

GG ptitdrogo. His first big tournament win, if I'm not mistaken. His final with Bly was impressive.

The final battle of Dreamhack: The Champagne Bottle.

    GG dude. :D

Might be better to spoiler that, just in case, though. Not everyone's able to get up at 3 a.m. to watch like I did. (Fuckin' cardio in the morning)

Christ, Life has been arrested for match-fixing.

For those who don't know, match-fixing is like.. a big fucking deal in Korea. There's a huge problem with underground gambling over there.

the sAviOr match-fixing scandal (http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Match_Fixing_Scandal) pretty much broke Starcraft: BW in Korea. Match-fixing became so horrible that it's near-taboo to even mention it in Starcraft.

I feel legitimately hurt with all this. Starcraft has been my favorite game since I was eight years old, and I've been following SC2 esports since the very beginning. Life was the champion, and as far as skill went he was my favorite player to watch.

A couple months ago, when Prime got slammed for match-fixing, it was almost understandable. A dead-end team with no sponsors and a corrupt coach trying to use the players under his control.. but this is Life. He won Blizzcon, he was the world champion.

Damn. It was a shock to hear about yoda and bboong when that came around, but Life, too? I've watched tons of his matches.

Damn. This can't be good for the scene.

Meanwhile, I'm still not sure what to think about the Thoorin drama, even after hearing both sides of the argument.

I haven't followed SC2 for years… but Life? I never would of seen that coming.

I heard Neuro talk about the subject a little bit, apparently life had a pretty big gambling problem and once lost like 40k in a single night. I can't wait for all the dedgaem spam to begin.

I saw that live. Had insane HotS flashbacks. Very few adepts made, tons of Stalkers, DTs and replace Collosus with Disurptors.

The crazy Pylon shenanigans/aggresion in every game was new, but yeah. You can tell that these are very experienced, veteran Protoss players. Awesome PvP games.
