Probably one of my favorite articles about the gaming industry and what it's like to be a serious gamer.

This article is so ridiculously true it's scary.

 

Really? IMO there are too few good games, but maybe I'm just too spoiled. (Although I can understand it if you play on multiple platforms.)

 

There have been no fewer than three good games released in the last month. That's a bit crazy, yeah.

I consider myself a serious gamer and I don't see what the hell he is talking about.

Out of the six games he said to be epic over Zelda, they sucked. Well to be fair I haven't played Demons Soul or Uncharted, but they are not some epic that he is making them out to be.

There may be more good games today, but there every year there is still the same amounts of epic games.

Plus, the new Zelda game isn't that amazing anyways. And yes, Demon's Souls is amazing.

Anyways this guy is a total faggot because he wants to halt the video game industry so he can finish Mass Effect 1 and not hear about new games. Also whines about how he 'has to' buy video games, obviously this faggots never heard of err 'demos'.

From my perspective they're not releasing enough quality games worth the money.

 

Still waiting for Masquerade Bloodlines to be surpassed. Going on five years now, I think. Or how about Deus Ex? No shooter today can even compare.

Not that ME2, MW, Demon's Souls, etc. are in any way bad, just... I can really see the quality in Masquerade (the story is actually subtle) or Deus Ex (long game, great action, choice to play style, fun story twists). And this isn't nostalgia, I'm pretty sure I played Masquerade for the first after I gave up on Oblivion.

 

Well there's his problem right there. No wonder he can't finish them all. If I had all of that kit, I'd struggle to finish my games even if I didn't have work to do, which he apparently does, or a social life, which it says nothing about.

For the record, I'm playing ME2, Chronicles of Riddick and Oblivion (I'm a latecomer). The only game on the horizon that I'm interested in off hand is Bioshock 2. Too many good games? Get rid of a console or two.

 

What seriously? I have a 360, Wii, PS3, PS2, Xbox, N64, PSP, DS, PC and an Iphone and I finish games just fine.

 

Maybe I just suck then. Actually, given I've spent the last half hour looking for a door, cross out the maybe.

Of course, the same could then be said of the guy in the article I guess.

 

Finishing games with time for the next game to come out isn't really that hard, it's just a matter of being willing and able to devote time to it. If you don't have a whole lot of time between, say, school, work, and your social life, of course you won't be able to finish the games.

 

Is this guy seriously saying he can't enjoy games because he feels bad for not being completely up-to-date on every console? I mean, there's games 15 years old on that list of his. I can only hope he's being tongue-in-cheek about this, but he comes off as the fat guy at the buffet crying because he can't eat everything.

 

Of just the games I have installed now, I haven't finished:

Gears of War

Mass Effect

Neverwinter Nights 2

On top of that, I've 'completed' but am still playing Left 4 Dead 2, World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online.
