In case somebody has not noticed it yet, there was another update to this story two days ago.

I was happy to see that the new chapter brings the action back to Hogwarts, where we see Harry's laziness actually drive him to become very good at certain types of magic. That is one of the enjoyable aspects of this story, while Harry being stuck at Dursleys without magic wasn't that interesting.

But there was at least one scene in the latest chapter in which the humor seemed to have degenerated in quality: the scene in which Harry hears the basilisk. The last two sentences that he hears just seemed totally out of place.

Of course, there are plenty of things that might seem unbelievable in this story in the context of HP canon, but Harry is usually the only one who is acts weirdly, and the world merely reacts to him. I find the story unenjoyable when other characters (or beings) start acting weirdly for no apparent reason, as in the basilisk scene. I hope these occasions will continue to be rare.

So, since we know the sequel is well underway, should we make a new thread for it? "Complete", isn't really accurate.

Well, the sequel is a direct continuation of the original story, and it being posted separately on fanfiction.net does not really mean much; it would seem that it makes more sense to leave the discussion here (besides, we do the same thing for VINCET and its sequel). Still, it would be nice if a moderator could edit the first post of the thread and include the link to Harry the Hufflepuff 2 and perhaps remove the [Complete] tag.

There was another update on September 22. To be honest, I am mildly surprised that there has not been more commotion around this story being continued, though perhaps there is really nothing much to add to what has already been said about the original. The sequel is more of the same, and that is very good in my book.

I enjoy the sequel less, than I did the original. Maybe I got a bit tired of the same thing but if the sequel would be separately put in For Review, I wouldn't rate it for the library. There also seems to be more stuff that is meant to be funny but isn't really for me.

Well, I read through the sequel, and so far I liked it just as much as the first one. There's something about his whimsical writing style that reminds me a bit of my own, and I like all the subtle jokes strewn about. 4/5

The second year is also complete now. It was not as good as the first one but it was still nice and Larry is awesome.

Last chapter was kinda boring, honestly.

Lazy Harry is back for his third year!

Just a couple basic, but humorous chapters so far - it's good to see Bajab writing again though. I'm hoping he keeps at it.

Discovered this yesterday, caught up on the whole thing last night/tonight.

Great for what it is - lighthearted, good pace, and some really clever humor. I laughed out loud, for more than a couple seconds, at the
House-elf sweatshop
and a few of the more inventive ways Harry tried to get out of doing work in Snape's class. (The Forgetfulness Potion gag was really good).

The joke tends to wear after a while, and I'm curious how far the author can take it without it becoming stale, but this is a premise well-executed.

As the story has managed to make me laugh out loud several times, i'm giving it a solid 5/5.

Good, I thought how much effect Baja's Harry puts into avoiding work works really well in counterpoint to how lazy he is (and probably proves him a true hufflepuff). I think their are some really interesting ideas in this work, house elf sweat shops :'), although i say it borders on crackfic-y, i like the way it interacts with canon events in a humorous way.
