Textbook Shitposter

Good for a quick read. Ending was amusing. 3.5/5

---------- Post automerged at 23:09 ---------- Previous post was at 22:46 ----------

4/5. A weak storyline, though a nice smut. Truely a PWP

EDIT by Minion:

Look, kids, this is what we define as shitposting.

This user, who just got infracted for four other shitposts, didn't even notice he was posting twice within the same story thread. With different ratings.

Thus he didn't just lose access to Work by Author, but access to DarkLordPotter altogether.

I'd like to make this super clear, for people new to DLP who are trying to get access to WbA: you only need to post four times, excluding the sorting hat post, in order to gain access. If you shitpost in those four posts, you may lose access to WbA entirely.

What is a shitpost?
Shitposting is what we call zero-effort posts, ones which are useless or don't add anything to the discussion. In the review forums, a one line comment about the story is likely a shit post. See the above post for examples.
Why is this bad?
The reason these kinds of posts aren't tolerated is due to the nature of forums: posts within a thread are linear, and most members read all of them if they're following the thread. Put simply, these low-effort posts literally waste everyone's time.
How can you avoid making a shitpost?
In the review forums, explain the reasoning behind your rating: attempt to explore which elements of the story worked and which you felt were not so strong.

Here's an example of a short review which isn't a shitpost:

User iamnotthere did the following:
  • Weighed up the pros and cons of the story
  • Gave a specific mention to something that was in the story
  • Explained the reasoning behind the positive and negative aspects
