A divergence from Episode 7 of Season 2. Follows a changed plot that takes elements from canon and warps it to create a stronger, more intelligent John. Some J/C and J/R.

The only decent Terminator story aside from "In the Hands of an Angry Terminator" in the fandom that I know of. A well thought out plot and some great character interaction makes this a sure 5/5.

Probably, yeah. I can imagine it being very difficult to follow if you already don't know the characters, because Big_D doesn't re-describe everything. It's a divergence point story, not a rewrite.

 

I read it, and it's good. Needs a lot more done on it. Then again my idea of light reading is 30 pages at a time, so *shrug*

 

In terms of quality, giving it anything less than 5 of 5 is a sin.

I'd love to see more of it, though.

Damn you all...

I just had to read this fic and download this tv show... Now I am hooked up for both.

 

I am reading In the Hands of an Angry Machine only because I am starved for some terminator stories after catching up on season 2 and now pissed that it was canceled. All the Other Kids is a much better story, In the Hands is way to Angsty for anyone but an over emotional teenager.

I didn't think you could make John more Emo then in the series...

John isn't really that emo in the tv series. He's what? 15 or 16. Of course he wants a normal life, a girlfriend. He doesn't however try to kill himself or cry for no apparant reason.

Angst genre isn't about characters being emo. It's about doing all you can to make your characters suffer emotionally. I swear, the author of that story hates all the characters in TSCC and just wants to see them suffer.

John is an emo crybaby who now only wants to live because of Cameron(sigh)
Sarah is a crazed lunatic
Derek follows Jesse around out of love and stupidity(I swear he's as stupid as anyone else)
I like Cameron, she hasn't been turned near human like most John/Cameron stories and that's good.
Kyle is half machine/half human; back from an alternate future and is yet another character with the IQ of about 50.

Yeah, he renamed it early on but I'm still stuck on that title.

Everyone hates it because of John's alleged pussiness, but I never regarded John as the main character, so it doesn't bother me. TSCC doesn't focus on a single person like HP does.

 

Fuck.

They got another one.

Now I feel reliant on the fan community to give a sense of conclusion to the story, and that's almost always a bad thing. Unless Big D is writing a fic of course.
