Assassin's Creed II subtitles turning off...

    Yeah, so whenever I exit the game in any manner (crash, exit to Windows, quit) the subtitles revert back to off. Anyone know how to fix it? It's very annoying when I get back into the game and they all of a sudden start speaking Italian. :facepalm

    Look for the Assassin2.ini file wherever you installed it. It will probably have some subtitle field you can edit. If editing the ini file breaks anything, delete it. When you start AC2 again it will create a new one.

    I found it in %appdata%\Ubisoft\Assassin's Creed 2, but there wasn't a setting for subtitles there. I'll delete it and see if that helps.

    Well, that's what happens with console ports. Shit all configurability.

    Have yet to figure out anything. Apparently not many people play the PC version, or those that do don't care about knowing the storyline. Google doesn't pull up anything helpful at all.

    Ah the What can you do was rethorical.

    There isnt anything you can do other than remember to turn it back on everytime you quick.

    Someone at the QA department fucked up. Either that or understood Italian so didnt think it would be important.

    Seriously I know its good to build atmosphere but fuck its like every 4 words is in Italian. I DONT KNOW ITALIAN UBISOFT.
