Basic Idea is that entire Star Wars story line is actually just a show in Star Wars Universe we watch them make that "Realty Show" and it is funny as hell. It is worth to look into it just for this;

A long time ago, in
a galaxy far, far away...
It is a time of peace in the
galaxy. In fact, things are so
peaceful that the Jedi have little to
do these days, aside from handling
occasional Senate matters and training
new younglings in the ways of the Force.
This newfound peace is largely due to the tre-
mendous popularity of the reality holo-broadcast,
JEDI, which over the past decade has elevated the
Jedi to a nearly god-like status. Criminals quake in fear
of the legendary warriors, while parents flock to the Jedi
Temple, begging that their children be taken as younglings.
The Jedi themselves find the logistics of the reality show rather
annoying, but they tolerate the cameras for the sake of good pub-
lic relations. However, during this heinously boring time of peace, the
producers of JEDI have resorted to staging much of the action in order
to give their avid viewers the entertaining drama they have grown to love...​

It's an interesting idea, I'll give it that. Only read the first chapter so far, but it seems reasonably well written, and it had me grinning enough to keep my interest. I'll come back with a proper rating later, but I'm certainly going to read on. Nice find.

It's pretty good. The writing isn't amazing, but it's consistent, accurate, and does the job without being flashy. I could have done without the various family/romance plots going on in the background, and the lengths to which the characters are apparently willing to go to to satisfy the production team are a little ridiculous. When the fic is focused on spoofing the films though, it's really quite funny.

I'm on chapter twenty nine; I don't know whether the quality can be maintained for the hundred and eighty or so chapters there actually are, but I'm going to keep reading.

Probably a 3.5/5, rounded up to 4/5 for voting purposes.

 

You have to accept the premise to like it. I couldn't and wasn't able to read past chapter 3. It was better than the thing manatheron posted, but not funny enough to justify the library.

I remember reading this forever ago. I should probably take another look at it, but I remember it being pretty funny for what it is. It's certainly pretty unique anyway since I don't believe I've read any other SW fics like it. 3.5/5, but round up to 4 since I'm feeling generous.
