Err... I just skimmed these nominations and I don't think too many people are reading the criteria. Dark Lord Gullible, Chuck, IP, MrINBN all nominated fics that aren't qualified by this category's stated criteria.

This is for only a new author's FIRST fic. Cubdom, JackofDiamonds, BlueMagikMarker, and Yarrgh! are all new authors whose nominated first fics were first published between 1-1-06 and 12-31-06. The others have earlier one-shots or other fics published before these.

I'm just going off the links and checking those author's userpages. If I'm wrong, say so.

 

I'm under the impression that their first fic meaning first Harry Potter fic? The author could have fics in other fandoms but still butcher the HP one..

 

Sorry, haven't seen the condition that the story must be CREATED in 06, not just updated. Too bad, Erised Burning was only 2 weeks too fast (Published: 12-11-05). And this IS his first story. Meh...

About the previous fic on my ff.net page, is something I wrote two years ago and is more a story about me and two of my internet buddies that I never finished, it was a joke and defenitely not seriously written as fanfiction. The story that was nominated is actually my first serious attempt at a decent story.

I don't really mind eitherway, just thought i'd mention it.
