When I started writing Dresden Files there were 17 stories on FF.net, and the majority of them were slash.

So no it is not surprising to me. And tbh if logic was not able to stand in the way of male pregnancies why would it stand in the way of incorporeal spirit and corporeal body.

There are a whole load of Harry/Bob stories, including some that are actually rather long (20+ chapters) and most can be found here.

But if I had to think about slash in the Dresden Files (and Murphy/Lara wasn't an option) then I would immediately think Harry/Gentleman Johnny, not Harry/Air Spirit.

Also, just to warp minds, some Harry/Bob fans agree with you about the skull thing, I once read a story pretty much identical to your description. I will post it if I can find it, but I think I blocked it out.

Personally I believe the slash in DF fanfiction will end with Harry/Bob. Think about it, Df is really popular yes, but it's nowhere near the phenomenon that Harry Potter was, so all the retarded fangirls that can't read more then 4 consecutive words won't be forced by their friends to read the books and the 'smarter' fangirls will die off without the support of the retarded ones.

 

Dresden Files is less of a childrens book as well. Little Timmy won't be begging for bed time so he can hear about how Dresden fucks Susan even though she's a vampire.

There won't be a lot of 14 year old girls writing terrible slash.

The fact that there is 10 books already should also bring slash down. Sitting down and reading 10 novels is a fairly big commitment of time. With Harry Potter it was 1 book every 3 years.
