    He hunts?

I don't know about you but I can't wait until the Daily Show talks about this. It is just too funny. I was expecting something like this to happen to Bush, but Cheney? The guy has a pacemaker for chocolate sake! He shouldn't be hunting at all.

why the fuck does he have an ambulance on call? He sits behind a desk the whole goddamn time (apart form when he is shooting lawyers, which I can't disagree with the sentiment of). why does he need an ambulance, which could be used for the important folk who are hurt, like the factory workers, and the middle level folk that nobody ever notices.

Damn shame it wasn't Bush and he got killed.

To me, this seems like a PR stunt to get in good with the gun lobby nuts (as it is most of the time when a president is photo'ed with a gun), nobody can be that stupid.

The media said that the other guy didn't follow the usual protocol and announce that they were there. My usual protocol while hunting is look before you shoot your buddy. What a fucking moron.

Everyone has their stupid moments. Some more than others. Like Bush for example.

Usual is to make sure you know where everyone is at all times. We only hunt every so often to clear out some of the immense deer herds over here. We use 2 way radio's with earpieces in them to make sure we know where each other are, as well as never getting more then a few dozen feet away from one another on a line, so if we all fire straight, we'll never hit each other.

You can't expect me to believe the idiot didn't follow at least basic hunting safety. With the amount of resources he has at his disposal, how fricking hard would of it been to wear some orange vests, heh.

The other thing is that Cheney and Co. waited 18 hours before informing the cops or the news-media... Sounds like someone was drunk.

Besides you can't expect these guys to follow hunting protocol, they are NOT hunters. When he came to my state he did a canned hunt. 500 birds were released, 417 were killed... By 10 people.

I do bow and arrow hunting every once and a while with one of my friends... We head up to the woods in central Pa. every 2 years or so (sometimes 2x in a year... really depends) and try our hands at it. Bright orange vest, bright orange cap, and bright orange pants, as well as common sense have prevented accidents.

Now THATS hunting. None of that canned shit, just me, a buddy, his bro, his dad, and some wild animals that may or may not die. Guns are to easy to kill shit with.

Now if only my aim didn't suck... I am working on it, I really am... But its damned hard to pull one of those things back when your hand is frozen (I hate my gloves, I can't get a good grip when I'm wearing them.)

    hehehehe

If you are having trouble aiming with one eye closed, try having both open, and aiming between the 2 animals that you see. It works, at my archery club I got 7 bulls eyes in a row doing that, before the instructor decided to tell me to do it wiht one eye closed.

All of them were wearing hunting vests, but Cheney still managed to shoot him.

    Political Cartoons

A lot of those had me cracking up.\

Edit: I didn't put in the 'orange' before the hunting vests. They were wearing orange hunting vests but Cheney still managed to shoot him.

I heard that Cheney was using a gun that has a wide spread and that Dick was 30 yards away.

But one thing that is buging me is that Hundreds of hunting accidents happen every year yet they barely ever make it into the news. It is only when Famous people are involved that it gets there. Everyone famous is a scapegoat, you can't expect them to be god. They can't control individuals yet people act like they can. Most decisions made by the president are negated or slowed because people won't stop bickering like children and compromise. Then people blame him for ever mistake that happens in the country. Some things that they do can and will be allowed just because they are famous. Certain acts from the goverment are unconstitional but because it helps certain polititions, it stays. That ticks me off. :x

I don't support politics because they always, from ANY party, promise things they can never give because they just don't have control, and when they do, they have to go through mountains of red tape supplied by the bueracracy. Also most Polititions have no common sense. I have noticed that this is coming more and more from the Democrats, probably because they are Hardcore democrats and can't agree with Republicans just because they are Republicans. I'd ask why can't we just get along but Than I'd be shot for being a pacifist, which I am not (stupid propraganda).

I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat. My parents are one of each so I was raised on both views. One thing that holds true to all, the one universal truth,

    People are morons.

I am now done with my rant.

    Really?

I have noticed that hard core republicans refuse to listen to democrats because they are democrats, though I will concede that hard core dems do it to... Probably in equal proportion to the republicans.

As a Socialist, I tend to hold contempt for them both.

As for Cheney, it isn't a big deal because VICE PRESIDENT DICK CHENEY, SHOT, A 78 YEAR OLD MAN IN THE FACE.

    It's a big deal because:

#1. I know my way around a shot gun (gun nut grandma made sure of that) And in order for 200 bird-shot pellets to hit a person, said person NEEDS to be standing within 10 yards, but more likely inside of 5. Especially if one of those pellets gets deep enough to cause a hear attack.

#2. If it WEREN'T the VP who was the shooter the shooter would be charged with criminal negligence (drinking and hunting) and would probably be looking at some jail time.

#3. The afforementioned drunken VP waited 18 hours before the local media contacted the his office and basically said "We are going to run this story: 'Cheney Shoots, Wounds, Hunting Partner.' Do you have any comments." Like it or not, Cheney is a public figure, an ELECTED official... He gave up his right to a quiet life when he took the job.

#4. Yes, lets all fall in line and do the Nazi march behind Fuhrer Bush. HEIL HIT- err... I mean HEIL BUSH! There is a reason for debate, and quite honestly it hasn't really happened. The Dems hae been powerless for the past 4 years, and haven't been able to slow anything of importance down... The American PEOPLE stopped the privatization of Social Security, not the Senators. Perhaps you should get your facts straight before posting that kind of bullshit here.

#5. The only red-tape in our government is the red-tape that was put there to prevent abuses of power. I am not saying the system is perfect, but my friend; have you ever seen Brazil's beaurocracy? Ours at least isn't still working on the budget from 10 years ago. The red-tape is the minority's protection from the tyranny of the majority.

#6. Yes, famous people are held to a higher standard. As are our leaders. However the leaders accept that higher standard when they take power, as harry Truman once said "The Buck Stops HERE.".

Sorry if this is a bit on the rushed/rude side... I have been in a car for 16 hours today, and I have been up since 5am yesterday.
