I'd rather be taking the piss here, but you've got me interested. Do you mean that on a technical level as assessed by their musical talent? Smashing Pumpkins certainly had some bangers, but Nirvana have had a greater impact on popular culture.

Dark Side of the Moon is the most overrated Pink Floyd album - it's good, but it isn't even in their top 5. I'd take Wish You Were Here, Animals, Meddle, The Wall, and The Final Cut over it easily.

American English sounds better than British English, especially posh Brittish English.

Oh God I had flashbacks of home.

EDIT: We'd probably say pure belta rather than pure canny.

Canny is used to describe a person rather than a thing. If they're canny they're either nice or (if you're speaking to someone who reads a lot) the more traditional meaning of subtle or deceitful.

EDIT2: Also, friendliest accent in the country. Everyone agrees.

Well, impact is such a weird thing, especially when you look at some of the very most "influential" bands in history - often, they're mostly the most simple things in the world of music. I mean, there wasn't a rock band for the entirety of grunge that wasn't somehow influenced by The Ramones, and those guys were proud of how easy their stuff was for anyone that had more than two weeks of practice. Early Beatles were basically the original boy band, and they're a generational-level influence.

I just think Nirvana is gravely overrated, but that's musical taste for you. Are they terrible? Not at all. Are they the messiah like most people seem to think as far as 90s rock? Meh. We've all got bands that we can make my type of statement about, but it just seemed that this was a good thread to start a minor fight about things that weren't as gravely stupid as its OP starting point.

Their vast amount of more goals and more World Cup speaks for themselves. C. Ronaldo isn't even better than Fat Ronaldo at his apex. Or Romario. And Messi isn't better than R. Gaucho, also at his apex. Actually Ronaldo didn't even participate in the final of the only remarkable national team win of his country, getting out with an injury in the first minutes.

Such a lack of culture or appreciation for art. Sad sad sad.

It's okay. Youre just a simpleton that doesn't know football and can't defend your views. It happens. One day you might actually watch older football matches and see that the world didn't start in 2010.

Anglos thinking they know what good football is, as always, very amusing.

That's why you came in on this thread and posted solely for this. Because you tune out things. The excuses of those fanboys who like whatever is en Vogue is always amusing. I remember when the likes of you thought that Cech was the best goalkeeper in the world. And Fernando Torres is always topkek to remember the hype around him. Gerrard and Lampard... Pfft.

Anglos gotta learn that just throwing money at things doesn't make it better. Just because you're expensive doesn't make you the best. Claiming that real football started in 1990 when everyone started taking steroids and having super stringent diets and strength and muscle training became the focus of training is to show how ignorant the person is of what makes football, well, football.
