    Hey -

    another story search:
Any recommendations for really dark, "gritty", but not angsty stories?

Best example I know: "The unforgiving minute" by Voice of the Nephilim.

What other stories in this genre would you recommend highly?

    Thanks!

You could just browse the DLP C2 and be done with it. The name "Dark Lord Potter community- Starred and Featured Authors" is not just for shits and giggles, ya know.

You may want to start reading with Renegade Cause, it's in there and as gritty as you could want.

    Thanks,

but as you might have imagined, I already read probably all stories in the C2.

But sometimes it just happens that someone here knows an amzing story that is not in the C2 yet. That's why I'm asking here. For example, someone (Taure, I believe) recommended "Stronger than hope" - a quite good story that nearly no one seemd to know and was not in the C2.

    But thanks anyway!

Pathetic by A-Kubrick-Spent fits the bill in my book, but it's (admittedly) heavily flawed and not particularly popular around here. The confrontation with Voldemort is genius, though, and it's not particularly long.

If gore is the thing for you, try out 'Concentric Wavelengths'. It's pretty dark, violent and full of DE slaughter. It won the second place in the timetravel challenge.
