Welcome to DLP Drawful, the game of shitty drawing and terrible lies.
If you want to play, throw your name down in the Signups Thread.

Everyone will shortly receive a PM giving them a prompt to draw. Don't tell anyone your prompt, obviously. PM me back the finished drawing.

    DRAWING RULES

    • Use a 400x500 or a 500x400 canvas
    • Use MSPaint or an equivalent
    • Use a thick brush - >=5px or the second thickest line in MSPaint
    • Use only one colour
    • Do not use the undo button
    • Do not use words

If you're drawing on a mobile app, don't worry about canvas size.

    HOW TO PLAY

I'll be posting the drawings in this thread, one by one.

    • Reply to the thread with your suggestion of what it is using this format:
      Drawing #: my prompt lie
    • If it's your drawing, reply with the original prompt you were given!
    • After roughly a day has passed, I'll ask everyone to pick which suggestion they believe is the real prompt.

If someone posts a duplicate response, I'll ask them to suggest something else - even if it's the real prompt answer.

    How to answer

    POINTS

You'll gain points based on how many people fall for your suggestions, or if you drew the drawing then how many people picked correctly.

You'll also gain points for picking the correct answer out of everyone's suggestions.

    -

Give me a bit to give out the prompts - but in the meantime, let's begin!

    SHITTY DRAWING #1

Drawing #1: A shit drawing - That is obviously the scene from Orson Scott Card's Speaker for the Dead, where Pequeninos have killed one of their own because he has proven to be inventive. The thing that has sprouted from his chest is, in fact, the sapling of a sentient tree that is the next part of the 'piggie's' life cycle.

Remember, your answers are meant to look like prompts, because you're trying to trick other people into believing that yours is the real prompt.

    Protip: prompts aren't generally essays.

Let's consider this a practice round.

What should you be trying to do here? Give a response that could be mistaken for the actual prompt. The person who actually drew the drawing will also be posting in this thread with the prompt they received, giving no indication that it was them who drew it.

    Example:
The prompt was 'A guinea pig'. There's a terrible picture of something resembling a rodent.

The person who drew the picture posts 'Drawing #n: A guinea pig'. But the other people in the thread have posted 'Drawing #n: A hamster' and 'Drawing #n: fat rat'. It's hard to figure out which is the real prompt, because they all look like they could be.

You then pick which response you think is the real prompt when I announce that you can do so.

The prompts you've been given are many and varied, but generally not long. Try to trick everyone else into thinking it was your drawing.

^ These are good examples that could pass for the actual prompt, or may indeed be the actual artist posting the correct prompt. :)
