    As seen in the announcement thread, the February contest will be Dark Arts-themed. Obviously we're expecting a few more entries this time and, as always, need a few additional judges.

    To apply, state so in this thread. Judges will be chosen at random again and can't take part in the writing contest.

    Application limit is exactly one week from now, on February 10th, at the time of day this post indicates (screw timezones and all that).

    I'd like to point out that putting in a requirement of x months on the site and/or x posts in order to apply as a judge might be worth to think about. Considering what recent entries in For Review by New Guys were like, what's saying the judge that's selected doesn't have a shit taste?

    It could kill the contest faster than dead.

    Categories haven't been decided yet, although I can say Alternates are a likely category for next month.

    The staff is also part of the voting team, although not everyone on it is going to take part in judging. We'll look into it.
