Hey all,

So, I was thinking about it - is there any interest in putting together a sort of informal DLP SC2 tournament? I think it could be a lot of fun - don't necessarily need any prizes or anything like that (although if someone has any thoughts about that, feel free to speak up), but maybe just for bragging rights and fun and all that. It's pretty simple to put one of these together - having participated in a few other SC2 tournaments I feel like we could make it work.

I'd propose a structure similar to that of the NAASL - basically, make it a 5 - 6 week tournament, with each person having one best of 3 matchup per week, that can be played at the two player's convenience. And, depending on how many people are involved, it could be either a points total that determines the semi-finals and finals or a simple round robin style.

Basically, I'm posting this just to see if anyone else is interested in being involved with something like this.

Edit: Just a note - I'd expect this to be on the North American server. Because we're just cooler.

 

I would absolutely love this. Holy shit, yes.

 

Region locking would severely hamper this effort.

A lot of DLP's SCII members are based in either Europe or America.

What kind of level are you all at? I'd be down for it, but I'm solely a casual player and was Silver-league material at best when I last played 8 months ago.

Could be fun, anyways. Put me down as a tentative.

 

As long as a few of us have accounts in both regions and are willing to share, region crossing shouldn't be a problem. Also, I'm in (though probably horribly rusty). Also don't be afraid to play if you're in a lower league. Assuming we do the sort of round-robin style the NASL uses, everyone will get a chance to play everyone else. You might lose a lot, but at least you won't get eliminated.

 

If I can find decent enough internet service, I'm in. My current plan is... lacking.
