K, guys! It's that time of the year!

lololol we haven't been playing mafia for a year on DLP. XD

But basically, I'm rerunning DLPhunt.

Things I'm thinking of:

1. Streamlining the roles and removing really strange lulz!additions like Irene's death-triggers.
2. Making it 14:3:2 or 15:4:2:1 instead of the OG 14:3:2:1, which was difficult and possibly only worked out because Fen ate one on Night 1.
3. Insta-modkilling nonparticipants, because. Honestly. Honestly!
4. Actually, making it an even smaller game and rewarding people who participate with more participation!
5. Nerfing plane tickets.
6. Nerfing the jwlk's dual psychiatry cuntslamming, which nearly won derp!town the game all on its own. lol.

Things I'm not thinking of:

1. Postmortem hijinks, because no one cares enough to angel and shit.
2. Removing any of the hallmarks of the game - the Asylum, Votingstacking, the Warlock.

So, uh, you can sign up and stuff here - do note that priority will be stacked JUST like DLPhunt1... only with more tirez!

1. People who are named.
2. People who played in DLPhunt1
3. People with 2 or more games of experience
4. Everyone else!

The current ruleset can be found in the old thread, with this change (which was implemented in DLPhunt 1, lol):

Asylum cuts off all power except stated powers (only relevant in the KaiDASH's case, iirc); so there will be no more derpery - this is very much in the spirit of the game I wanted to create. The whole idea of voting/power purgatory without actually limiting participation and swaying votes.

Overarching aim: To make the game as fun as possible, and to ensure that we have a good playerlist who will provide entertainment to everyone! Please note that while this is the aim, DLPhunt is also a thematic sort of franchise - some things I might take an objection to changing because it's against the spirit of the game.

Also, you may apply to change the names of certain roles. If enough people thumb you or something, I'll probably do it. I anticipate certain characters going out of style and stuff since they haven't been very active, etc.

lol it is almost full already. Don't worry guys! To clarify exactly how people were selected for DLPhunt1, it was as such:

Everyone with high priority is assigned the largest amount of numbers (i.e. Fenraellis, when he signed up, was assigned 1, 2, and 3). Everyone with lower priority was assigned less and less numbers. So basically what ended up happening was that when I finally went to draw, filing for spot 1 was the first number to be drawn - and when they were, the other numbers that belonged to the player were removed from consideration! So as more people are drawn, and the more numbers you have associated with you, the larger chance you have of getting in. Of course, people who barely meet the requirements have a more chance-based road, but it's not like you can't win a spot!

Also, remind me of who has an all-expenses-paid trip to KingHunt - I actually meant "the next game I'm running".

Loved the last one, would love to play in this one. Republic needs his own role for sheer derpitude though

I'm still waiting for KarmaHunt, but while I do, I might as well play this. I hope jwlk signs up as well, so we can hope to have our revenge.

As for feedback, the Mishie shouldn't stop Asylum incarceration, IMO, only night kills. Maybe give an extra life to the Jon? I dunno 'bout that.

Well, so long as I get killed/finish some of the other games I'm playing, count me in. I'm assuming this is going to take a while to sort out too, so plenty of time to reduce the number of games I'm in.

 

...I am probably going to regret this so much. I have Embyrology lectures to attend and hospital visits to make, but this is mafia...

Okay, fine. I'm in. Although I predict my end will be somewhat similar to my last demises: Gotham, HoT1, and SW2, lol.
