Hey, I was hoping someone here could help me out. I need to e-mail an attachment to someone, just a normal word file, simple right? I've done this many times before and never had a problem, I've tried using both Yahoo and Hotmail and the same thing comes up so it seems to be a computer issue, however I don't know what it is. I've tried running my anti-virus stuff but nothing comes up and I'm at a bit of a loss, anyone have any ideas?

When I try to attach I can do it all normally, find the file and all that but when I actuallly hit 'attach' a get an error message that reads
    "name of document
    File Not Found
Check file name and try again."

But my problem isn't the file name as I've tried attaching other files that I know worked previously (just last week in fact) and I get the same message that pops up.

    Any ideas?

Open the document again, re-save with a different name, and then register with gmail.

Attach newly named file in google mail.

    ????

    Profit.

If that doesn't work, maybe something is wrong with your nets. I generally don't trust either Yahoo or Hotmail, because they both fail on so many levels, even though so many people use them- Hell, even I have accounts there, but I don't rely on them for my file sending.

Alright thanks for the tip about gmail, I've registered an account there, though I do wonder what my issue was.
I did eventually get it working with Yahoo by saving my file to the desktop and then trying again, that seemed to work but I'm not sure what caused the issue in the first place.
    Thanks again

This was the exact file name when I tried to attach:
    "russia paper, word 2003.docx"

Remove the comma... cut down on words? I guess...

Yeah could be but I doubt if, I've used commas before and previously have had titles such as "American Revolution, 1775..." and never had a problem
