Flash Comp - Summer 2022

Topic - Harry's POV & NOT at Hogwarts


Location / setting can't be at Hogwarts. Harry can be any age. POV can be 1st or 3rd (or 2nd I guess).​

Let's do a quick competition to get us back in the saddle! I apologize for vanishing for a few months-- that was shitty of me, my bad everyone. I'll go ahead and get the next poll up for a longer, regular story competition once this one starts.

Vote in the poll if you think you might write. It's okay if you don't end up doing so, but at least hope that you might do so if you are voting!

Winner gets a star for their profile, but the 'winner's banner' is going to keep hanging out with the last winner of a full competition until the next one ends.

Xiph0 and I may know your identity but otherwise you'll be kept anonymous unless you choose to claim your story after the competition.

Word Count: 750-1500 words
Due Date: July 11th (send your stories via pm to @Xiph0)
Voting (estimate): July 12th-25th

Just a clarification here on "not Harry POV" before it becomes an issue-- it needs to be someone mentioned somewhere in the series, books or movies or even the damn video games.

Don't write a story about Mary Smith the American looking to buy maple syrup in muggle London whilst interacting with not a single HP character.

 

If we have a lot of entries (too many for a poll) we'll do it a batch again.

That said, I need to update the rules. They are relaxed for a flash comp with poll voting instead of point distribution and less of a review req. I'll do that in a few.

But yes! The WINNER is Harry POV but NOT at Hogwarts! You fuckers fucking with the polls. Do we like being able to change our votes? We wanted that at one point and I'm still good with it.
