    Ok. So here's my problem.

I don't know if we have a 'font' setting in the User CP but I can't find any. For the past couple of days, all fonts on DLP are thinner and just dull. Even highlighted text looks crap. I didn't mess up with anything in there before this happened, if you must know.

I really do have a problem reading even with glasses. And this really is giving me a headache.

    Please help!

I am adding a couple snapshots below.

Have you tried a different browser? I'm not suggesting that you permanently move to a different browser, but that does help narrow down the issue a bit.

That's usually a browser thing. Might want to check your chrome preferences.

    Have you restarted recently?

Also moving to Tech Support, DLP hasn't changed.

Yep. Same results on firefox as well.

Restarted, as in rebooted the PC? Yes. I don't understand what that would do though.

I have even reset chrome to it's default settings today. Nothing changed.

You could try making sure that cleartype is enabled. Right click on your desktop, go to properties, then appearance, then effects, and there'll be an option for standard or cleartype for smoothing the edges of screen fonts.

It's only for DLP, other sites are working fine. And the font isn't jagged or anything, it's just thinner and looks like something from Windows 98. And it's only the text, everything else works fine as well.

Not working. As I said, it's not the size of the font.

    This is annoying...

The font in your URL bar is the same font. Has that always been the case? Is that true for other sites too?

It may be that you have somehow uninstalled some fonts. Install some ttf packages. That may fix it.

I tried to replicate your issue in a VM, and the closest I could get was disabling cleartype via the process I described before. Click the images to see a bigger version.

    No cleartype:

    With cleartype:

URL bar looks the same. Only the content on the site is affected. It wasn't like this a week ago. And no, only for DLP.

I'll have to look into that.

I took your suggestion but the problem is that this PC is old. It's a CRT and it still works on XP. So, I had to download that Power tuner from Microsoft.

It worked for DLP and I could see the difference but it made everything else wonky. My desktop icons, explorer, word, and all the other sites. So, I had to ultimately turn it off and I am back on square one.

You shouldn't have had to download anything at all, just right click the desktop, go to properties, appearance, effects, and enable clear type. It's an option in XP, no downloading or installing necessary. But if that didn't work, sorry, I have no idea how to fix this :/

Though nothing worked, thank you all for your suggestions.

In the end, I just bought a new monitor.

That, seems like an odd solution to me. I hadn't thought the monitor could be the problem.

Oh, it wasn't. It was just that I thought I should scrap of the old CRT for good now.

And the new display is way cooler...so it doesn't matter because everything looks better here.

Besides, odd problems sometimes require odder solutions in my experience. Yeah, 'm cool like that.
