Hello, was wondering if anyone knew of any really good stories of Harry (or another character) crossed with the movie theme "Groundhog Day" where he repeats the same day again and again. They can be either really funny or really serious. Thank you, I'm not much good with doing my own story searches and figured some of you probably had a few mentions.

 

I'll go ahead and assume that this fic is the reason you're searching for this premise, but just in case it isn't, here's Wastelands of Time. It's a story about an old alcoholic man who diddles women fractions of his age, loses limbs and goes around seeing the sights. It generally makes no sense.

IIRC, this was written for one of the old competitions. I haven't read it for a few years, but I remember it as one of the best one shots I've ever read. Focuses on Moody, not Harry.

 

I would have figured there'd be more quality fics with this premise. It's not as if it's an unused theme.

 

This is my personal favorite: Eternal Return

 

I've never read it, but there was one that was a 'beacon of time' or something, and it was Hermione and Harry using some item to return in time. I gather it was kinda Hermione-wanky and not too well received on here, an almost-recommendable. Maybe someone will remember it?

 

That would be Harry Potter and the Temporal Beacon. It's an alright guilty-pleasure type of thing that has aged about as well as most things from that time.
