Title: Harry Potter and the Holyhead Harem
    Author: bigdonadiet
    Rating: R
Genre: Action/Adventure (looks to be future Romance as well)
    Pairing: H/Harem; currently Hestia Jones
    Status: WIP
Summary: Post-HBP. Harry/Many. After Dumbledore's murder, Harry begins to walk his own path, and finds a destiny greater than he ever imagined.

The story just started so its slightly harder to get a feel as to whether this should be considered an Independent Harry or not. I was a little wary at first because the (all of three) reviews were not to flattering. However, despite the writer being slightly over the top in some of the description and imagery, this is excellently written none the less. The fact that Hestia Jones was the first to make it into the (most likely) Harry Harem was a plus in my books and it helped that Harry left behind Hermione and Ron. There are some inklings of possible Super Harry, but so far nothing over the top. As I said, it has just started, but it looks promising.

Meh...this author is an extraordinarily gifted writer, IMO, but so far I'm not too crazy about the story. Gryffindor's Sword? Killing Dementors?

It's really too early to judge the story, but I'm getting a bad feeling about it already. Who knows, though? It may turn out to be an epic...

Not bad,not bad at all...Barely notable spelling errors and few tenses.
As for the plot,we need more chapters to make a judgement on it of course!
I will be keeping an eye on it.

This has REAL potential - although Hestia seemed oddly flirty (maybe that's just her), I can't say I didn't like reading it. It just makes me want to find out WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?!

Both chapters are great so far, so I'm eagerly awaiting the next.

I like it alot so far. Big props for actually doing a post HBP.

Only thing that worries me so far is
    1. Hestia seems to be mirroring the common personality of Tonks.

    2. The sword seems too powerful already. Hopefully it's capped to only being useful in very specific situation, like the one it was just in.

    Otherwise im liking it.

BTW quick question. Did any books ever mention or give clue to how old Hestia is in cannon? Perhaps it's just from reading other fanfiction, but I was under the impression shes like early 30's?

Nah, canon doesn't really say anything about her that I can remember. I double checked the Lexicon and it didn't have anything either.

I'll admit the sword did feel overpowered, but I thought Harry seemed kinda underpowered, mainly since his patronus had at least driven away 1 vast horde of dementors in the past. Hopefully the two will balance out, and I'll definitely keep reading to see how it goes. As a side note, I did think the destruction of Harry's wand was handled somewhat lightly; I can't really think of a better way to do it, but 'Harry drops it, dementor grabs it and snaps it' didn't really seem to do it justice, at least IMO. (Plus I didn't think dementors were capable of sufficient dexterity to do that).
