Hearthstone thread.

FUCK THIS GAME I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET A BETA KEY FOR MONTHS FUCKFUCKFUCK.

 

Personally, I live in the arena. Don't like constructed all that much at the moment. Maybe when I collect enough cards to make a good deck I'll venture in there, but it can be frustrating knowing there are great cards around that I just don't have.

But arena. So fun! Managed to get over 2,000 gold just through winning enough in arena that I get bonus gold.

How did you guys get those keys T_T

 

Honestly I should have enough sold my key. Nothing really draws me to the game and there's nothing to hold my interest. Doesn't help that very often I'll get wrecked by a card I didn't even know existed if I play the constructed version.

 

I've been doing decent in Contructed, I should be hitting Masters soonish. I've been enjoying this game so much.

My key just came randomly in the second wave of the beta, was pretty lucky.

Next month (ish. Blizzard) the Open Beta will start, and the floodgates will open. And on that day I will constantly queue arena to take advantage of all the people who don't know what the fuck they're doing, and I will make bank.

Just gotta understand what the best cards of each mana are, and try to keep your curve reasonable. Make sure you have 5-6ish 2 drops.

I tend to watch Trump play arena a lot on Twitch (hell, I'm a mod and a subscriber, I love that guy). He's a goddamn master at arena, and if you just follow his advice when drafting your cards, you're going to at least decently.

He's working on filling the rest of them out, but he has a bunch of videos on Arena drafting on the various classes. He goes over the kind of "philosophy" of each class and runs through a draft telling you why he picks each card.

Also, shattered sun cleric is the best 3-mana basic, and yeti is always value yeti.

 

Yeah I've been watching Trump for a while now. I just need to learn the weight of each card in arena cause its way different from constructed which I play more often

 

Anyone playing in the TLOpen tournament? I've been pretty hit or miss in arena. Go 8 wins 2-3 times in a row, then bomb out and go 3-4 the next couple. It gets frustrating, but I have won enough to put together some decent constructed decks.

I played in the one today. Lost in 3rd round to a guy who made final 4 running a pretty cool rogue deck. Almost beat him with my mage deck, but card drawing being what it is, I didn't get the iceblock I needed.

 

Apparently they switch servers, so I'm gonna have 2 weeks to get some better cards.

 

I have two keys for US and no interest in playing Hearthstone.
