    What kind of story do you guys want to write?

    Let's start off with the focus! Harry Potter? Dresden Files? My Little Pony? Crossover?

    Dark and gritty? Count me in. I started reading the Dresden Files 3 days ago, but I'm only finished with book 1-4 so far. So pure HP would suit me nicely.

    Action adventure post hogwarts, preferably when he has matured as person and gained enough skill as a wizard and as such is suitably badass.

    There is enough school year rehashes out there, yet not enough awesome post hogwarts fics.

    Extreme AU? During school years. Don't just change up what house people are in or who Harry's friends are or how good they are magic, but really make things different. Every student is chosen as a Student or Apprentice of a particular Discipline or Professor, maybe the House System doesn't even exist, perhaps there are loads of field-trip type learning experiences, etc.

    Or maybe that's better for a single person to write. XD

    Given the format, it might be a good idea not to be overly ambitious. One idea:

    The fic progresses in chapter pairs. The first chapter in the pair is an author who is essentially trying to kill Harry, putting him inventively awful situations. The second chapter in the pair is a different author who then has to get Harry out of that situation. And then on to the next pair.

    There could be a slowly developing story arc between pairs too.
