The meet cute is possibly the most important part of a romance. It’s where the love interest is introduced and you get a flavour of their personality and the chemistry with the protagonist.

What are some options for Haphne meet cutes which are attention grabbing, novel, and allow the author to show off the promise of their chemistry?

A classic from stories with more of a dark magic / pure-blood traditions focus is Harry attending some sort of traditional wizarding celebration which, as a Muggle-lover, he would not be expected to attend. This serves a dual worldbuilding and meet cute purpose and Daphne’s interest is engaged by Harry’s willingness to explore wizarding traditions which she would expect him to reject, while his brash ignorance of those traditions serves to infuriate her at the same time.

Another option I was recently considering was Harry goes to Gringotts to break into Bellatrix’s vault and Daphne happens to be in the same cart, ending up mixed up in Harry’s crazy flouting of goblin law etc.

What are some options you can think of?

They're in the same generation in a relatively low-population community. The only thing separating them are the Hogwarts houses somewhat limiting cross-House interaction through scheduling and House culture/rivalries.

Remove them from that setting, temporarily or permanently, and the problem is solved. Any people trying to do things with other people their age in such a relatively small community are bound to run into each other during everyday life.
