    Zev started the forum, PMed a bunch of us on FFN. I was the first person to join and was granted admin status -- a bunch of the early folks were granted admin or modships. Zev was running DLP on his machine in Sweden, and I had dedicated server space, so I offered to host DLP instead. Zev had military service to do, and drifted away while we kept DLP going.

    We were a bunch of goofy kids being edgy, and ended up creating a pretty alright community.

    I think it's mostly a strong community that more than just shipping and Harry Potter. Most people who have been on here a decade or so hardly read HP fanfic anymore and even the HP threads have died off in recent years. The form is mostly about writing now and everything else is on Discord.
