Yeh i took a gander of this a while back and thought it was medioca, if only the updates where more frequent!

 

Yea, the story is OK, but seems pretty much abandoned to me...
I mean, the guy posts 500 words chapter after almost a year of waiting. To me, it seems like he's just fishing for attention and actually don't plan on continuing this at all.

 

yeah... i liked the story... it just seems to have drifted off into the void of no return... im disappointed in the latest update... and what the hell was the point of the goat comment? ... *sigh*... oh well...

The author was of course referring to goatse.

I suggest looking up with google or wikipedia.

 

It's a good fic but the updates are too infrequent. I don't bother to wait for another update, I just forget about the fic if the author doesn't update soon.

 

It's gone. Not that it looks like anyone here will care, but FYI its no longer there.

This old fic is bin-worthy at best. It's no longer available at ff.net, but there are 13 chapters of it on the HP Recycle Bin group. I'd guess that there are only about 25k words there, and it was abandoned long ago.

The fic features the typical post-OotP set-up with a very pronounced angry!young!man!Harry. He rants at everyone and behaves in a more juvenile fashion than usual. It's got the typical manipulative Dumbledore and Order, the will reading, the withholding of information and legacies, the Lord Black business (with Tonks and Narcissa becoming family).

The only true plot point is a fight between Harry and Voldemort on an 'astral plane,' where Voldemort tries to kill Harry with his super mind powerz. Harry figures out how to control the plane, and ends up 'downloading' all of Voldy's memories, knowledge, etc.

And we never get beyond that. It's the first 1/4 of a highly-cliched story with juvenile, two-dimensional characters in every scene.

I'm pretty sure most of you know what comes next, if perhaps not the exact wording.

Rants aside, pretty decently written Independent!Harry tripe, with annoyances like author notes in the middle of chapters and Incompetent!Dumbledore dragging the story down.
