Title: Lifted Up Author: Tomas the Betrayer Rating: Teen Genre: Drama Status: In Progress Fandom: Bleach Summary: Under the shadow of a heaven ruled by monsters, Rukia Kuchiki continues to fulfill her duties with new lives and hearts added to the mix. And above all, there is a mother's love. Sequel to 'Hammered Down'. Link: Here As the summary says, this is the sequel to Hammered Down. If you haven't read that, all 500k words of it are well worth your time, and you might have some difficulty following this otherwise. The author doesn't appear to have lost his knack for crafting intricate plotlines. I'm 20k words, and already trying to look for hints of a conspiracy. The character interaction is strong, the fight scenes are vivid, and the villains, if they're anything like those from the first installment, are genuinely terrifying. Perhaps my only qualm with Tomas is his tendency to focus on supporting characters who are often relegated to the sidelines. Though he lends surprising depth to the likes of Kon and Yumichika, some people might be turned off by the prospect of reading about them.
