Tonight at 3am EST I did a MySQL upgrade. This moved us from MySQL 4.1.20 to MySQL 5.0.21 (to be moved forward to .22 soon). It was a rather major upgrade and the last time I tried MySQL 5 (5.0.6) I think you old members remember when errors would pop up (back on phpBB) stating that tables were corrupt. In light of this I've made sure proper backups were made and all precautions taken. Enjoy (though most of the benefit is for me :D).

Also, how'd you like my maintenance page? =)

...and apparently 5.0.21 had a bug which reacted with vBulletin badly. I could have either patched vB or upgraded MySQL, I chose the latter. We're now running MySQL 5.0.22.

And MySQL 5.0.22 was just a security release, so the bugfix is slated for MySQL 5.0.23. I've patched the forums in the mean time which fixed the problem from this side.

Moved to MySQL 5.0.24. Works great, other than a slight problem during the upgrade. I was able to revert the changes to vBulletin as well as the bug is fixed in MySQL 5.0.24.
