I tried to think of a reason for both of them to be in the same promo. The answer is Joss Whedon.

Nathan Fillion, Robert Downey Jr. and Joss Whedon.

    Process that for a minute.

Television and cinema can't get any better than that.

    We win.

One of the comments mentioned a possibility of Fillion playing Ant-man in one of those cameos after the credits of Avengers. A man can dream :awesome

I do enjoy how pleased Nathan looks with himself after his floating hair gag.

I had honestly not seen anything but a few clips from Firefly before I spent this last weekend watching it. In retrospect, I can't believe it took me so long.

Okay, here's a public service announcement.

    Watch Firefly. Now

What are you waiting for? The show came out ten years ago, literally.

Once you watch it, you will have to go the rest of your life knowing that there will never be a show as good as it was.

    Have a good day.

I saw the first few episodes and kind of thought they were boring. Video was funny, though.

the first few episodes were a little odd because Fox decided to change their airing order after they'd been filmed. So Joss Whedon and co. had to re-edit them to suit the new anachronistic order.

To be fair, they weren't to everyone's tastes. Certainly a hell of a lot more people have watched it since it was cancelled, even prior to Serenity.

In addition, if the show had run another season or two, I think any budding interest in it at the time might have waned. People would have gotten bored, methinks - I may well be wrong, but I think it accidentally ended up the perfect length.

And, by being cancelled, led to the sheer awesomeness that was Serenity.
