I'm looking for a good VPN to use while I'm in Vietnam. Any recommendations?

Why do you need a VPN? If you don't want people to spy on you I suggest you use Tor or Hornet, run off tails.

TorGuard or PureVPN have good reviews online.

I've heard good things about hidemyass. Never had the need to use one though, so no personal experience to share.

Skykes mentioned TorGuard, and a few seconds later I stumbled across this in my feeds: Get 50% off All TorGuard VPN & Proxy Service. Just use the promo code TGLifetime50 in the checkout. I just tried it and it worked.

I don't use TorGuard and can't vouch for it, so do your research.

I don't recall needing a VPN when I was in Vietnam. I did use Astrill for 2 years and it's fine, though there were some problems with it within China when the government moved against the big VPNs.

I used to use BTGuard, they're not bad and they have a Relay in Singapore. So you should be getting some decent speeds out there.

I was in Saudi (their firewall is ridiculous) for about a month. Hola, as hated as it is, gave me good proxy access to porn and blocked sites over there on my Android.

VPN wise for my laptop, I used my University's VPN. However, my Uni is pretty lenient as to what they allow, so YMMV. I've heard good things about Tor tunnels, but I don't know how well they work in 'Nam.

I use NordVPN, which is probably the cheapest option at the moment. So far, it has worked extremely well for me, but I haven't used it in Vietnam.
