Well, I have a bit more spare time on my hands these days so I reckon it's time. Anyone interested in participating in an NU tournament, confirm it in this thread.

After the clusterfuck of trying to run two tournaments last time I'm going with 16 places this time around. The first 16 that reply get in. After that if another sixteen apply within a week then we'll sort something out.

So... anyone interested?

EDIT: You can always find myself or Lutris in #pokemanz on irc if you need any questions answered. The tournament is usually based from there anyway.

Aw, man. If this was a double battle NU tournament I would enter so hard. I have an awesome troll NU team for double battles.

Edit: NU is Never Used. It's part of the tier system.

 

Making my team now. Didn't do the last one, but I'm so in now. For the unitiated (I sure was two hours ago), here's the NU list. Should be fun.

Bellsprout is part of the NFE list. Feel free to use NFE pokemon if you want, they'll most likely get wiped anyway.

EDIT: The tier system constantly changes and will most likely recieve a massive restructure due to B/W coming out. Don't think Bellsprout was ever not in NFE though as it's always been Not Fully Evolved. Could be wrong I suppose.

Oz, the tiers are based on usage.

For example, over the past few months, Espeon and Entei left NU, and Poliwrath, Slowking and Regirock fell down from UU. Primeape, Electrode, Qwilfish and possibly one or two others were used enough in UU to leave NU and go up there.

I don't believe there is a stable list anywhere, but most of the options on the Smogon tier list are choosable. Just be careful what you use, since there is in fact a script to keep you out of NU when you don't have all NU mons.

When will the server be up? I need to gauge everyone else's abilities.

 

That could be a problem as I've been using the smogon list to check teams. The smogon list still has Espeon in it and probably others that have moved. Safest way is to just use the smogon list as it is.
