I have been thinking how would polyjuice potion behave if in it is used more than one hair from different sources? Would the consumer of the potion be mix of these donors or pile of steaming flesh? We have seen the result of using animal hair in CoS.

 

It would probably cause the potion to fail. The instructions said to take a hair or some other piece of the body from the one they wish to turn into. By adding parts from other people into the potion you most likely no longer have a Polyjuice potion that works and instead have a something useless. If you decide to drink it anyway my guess is at the very least a trip to the infirmary.

This happened in A Black Comedy, if memory serves. With sexy results.

 

We saw a ton of slight potions mistakes turn into exploding/smoking/coagulating/poisonous messes in the books, didn't we? I figure it would be something like that. If you wanted to write something about someone accidentally inventing a new potion by fucking up an established recipe pretty badly, that would actually reflect the scientific process pretty well.

 

I would think it would take the form of the first hair that hit the potion and the second hair untouched.
