Ok, I have two betas but one is for all practical purposes not doing anything. As in, he sends me back my chapters with like 1 or 2 corrections, with minimum/no feed back while my other beta has like 30+ valid corrections and marks and we chat on msn about plotholes etc. I mean, I don't want to insult my first beta or anything but there is a difference between a run of the mill reviewer and beta/editor right? And I'm not an ass for wanting to drop him and pulling him from the credit section right? :p

Well, since he/she will probably see this thread, you practically already did it.

Don't think he's from here, unless he's using another name. Picked him from aff.net.

Yeah definitely drop him. If he's not pulling his weight, you should drop him as a beta.

If he's not doing the job that he is supposed to be doing then drop him. I know these people do this in their spare time but they should at least do what they signed up to do in the first place.

Done and done. Thanks. Sent him an email and got an 'ok' back so I guess he was cool with it.
