I remember reading a story a couple of years ago about a dark harry who used puppets as weapons, enchanting them and possibly putting souls into them, although im not sure if that part is right.

anyway i am wondering if anyone knows the name of a story like that?

Was it perhaps a Naruto crossover?

 

I think there was this Naruto/HP crossover where Harry learned how to use chakra from Naruto manga. Can't remember the name but he used puppets in some places (among other things) .

/me shrugs. Apparently, Harry imbibes Naruto and believes it's true, so magic fiats the existence of Chakra. Meanwhile, there are actual ninjas out there, who have Magic but no Chakra. It's pretty good writing, and the plot is rather dynamic, but there's a whole bunch of stuff in there that makes me frown. It's certainly original, and yes, it has Harry making puppets and crap.

 

It's barely worth the barely readable threads. The writing is barely average, the premise that Naruto mangas dimension-travelled into Harry's universe and Harry uses them to develop chakra isn't brilliant either. There are similar fics with Harry reading xyz and copying the book's way how magic is wield - and quite a few are better drafted and better written than this one.

 

Yes, I believe there was a FMA version of it, too. And to be honest it was fairly good,.
