I don't see how this is different from what I said.

What to do about "too many entries" has recently been addressed in the general competition thread.

I mean, I know of at least four people who were starting Azkaban stories and only one managed to get something into the competition(me) and it was nothing like what I had spent most of the quarter bashing my head against the wall on, so I'm not surprised. Sometimes it is just a matter of not being able to force an idea to manifest even if you have a concept to work with, I don't begrudge folks voting in one direction and the stories not living up to that.

    ANOTHER tie?

Come on folks, got a few more hours left to vote! (I think approx 5 hours?)

Those three people on the "I'm certain I heard something" prompt should have broken the tie. You were the chosen ones!

..So, are we going to have a tiebreaker or go with another double prompt comp?

No tie-breakers, not when people can change their votes. Looks like another EITHER-OR competition! We had a lot of discussion about how to handle that last time so I'm going to stick with what worked. If you'd prefer we have a different SOP for ties then discuss that in the General thread, please.

So wow, that's pretty amazing. Thanks so much for doing the leg work and posting it!

Gotta say, I'm pretty excited to see the outcome of this competition. Seems like it has a lot of potential for some really great stories.

Anyone got some good-decent stories featuring rituals they'd be happy to link? Curious to see what's already been done and done well.

By the Divining Light has Old Magic, which feels quite ritualistic.

'Ritual Magic' was one of my choices for a prompt as a winner. Funnily enough, though, I voted for 'What the Professors get up to in the summer.' I was fine with either, and the overwhelming majority at the time I had voted seemed to be for the Professors prompt, so I jumped on the bandwagon.

My story idea (which odds are I won't write again even though I want to) involves both prompts so I'm rather pleased.

How is everyone doing? Just a month and a few days left now.

I'm happy to say that I've finished writing my entry today, so I'll submit something again. I'm feeling pretty proud at the moment, and even if the story doesn't get a positive response, it feels good to actually finish something.

Gonna be the best 200 word piece I've ever wrote.

The only thing I lulzwrote about a month ago was 500 words of hot fire where Ron and Hermione experimented with the Unspeakables who study Love to find a ritual to cure residual horcrux influence. It had no basis on canon and hardly any ritual. It has since languished, unthought of and uncared for until you reminded me of it now, and that's just the way I intend it to stay. Yuck.

In other words, I have nada and nothing, and I'm afraid that's the way it looks like it will stay at this point. Rather sink my time into the Quest now that the wheels are rolling on that again.

The planning stage has gone very well so far. I’m going to have a lot of time this weekend, so I’ll try and get it mostly done.

I was planning on writing this time, but I keep turning all my ideas into ones for a Dresden story I've been writing. I should drop the ritual idea and write Snape at Sea World.

I have a story idea, but I'm too focused on my current fic to want to get sidetracked from it (again).

Too busy working on my regular fanfic story. Got into a groove the last few days.
