Here's my challenge.

You are to write a fic where Umbridge obliviates all of the OWL testers and changes his paper so he fails at everything, forcing him to repeat the year. You can maybe even go so far as to have Umbridge have put a power block or even slight mental block so Harry can't do things right. Keep in mind that this isn't necessary. For Ron Hermione bashers they could dump him cos they think he's a complete retard idiot, but basically let your imagination go wild with it.

LOL. That must be the stupiest challange i've ever heard. no effance but i don't think Umbrige can even to a proper stunner let alone a obliviating someone. LOL

 

Just because Umbridge never uses really uses a spell, doesn't mean she can't. She was getting ready to use Crucio, remember?

I don't remember anyone stating the memory charm was a particularly hard charm either. Kingsley managed it. Lockhart managed it.

I'm not so sure about the challenge though. It doesn't seem to have much point, despite being cool. I mean, its an excuse to get rid of Ron and Hermione and uhh..be in Ginny and Luna's year.
Doesn't really make a fic, as much as a plot device.
Good idea, though.

 

Heh, I wasn't even planning on making it a challenge but someone suggested that I should so I thought 'What the hell?' and did. If you do make a fic out of it, it's going to be quite a free one.

I've not read the The Order of the Phoenix for a long while, but I'm reasonably sure Umbridge was half way through the incantation before Hermione stopped her.
Lockhart was indeed a specialist. For all we know, couldn't Umbridge be too? How hard would it be for her to obliviate someone so they thought their grades were worse than they actually were? Does it even have to be an obliviation, couldn't she just take over their jobs?

 

Yeah, she could challenge them of being biased towards Harry's fame? She takes over for Harry because everyone thinks that she would be impartial?

 

but wouldn't that make harry easy to get to. i mean voldermont couldn't get to him what makes you think umbitch i mean umbrige can. even canon harry's stronger than that.
