Title: Searching for Harry Potter: the Menagerie Quest
    Author: Chloe Verveka
    Rating: T
    Genre: Humour
    DLP Category: Humour
    Pairing: None
    Status: Complete (Oneshot)
Summary: Everyone's always searching for Harry Potter-to kiss him, kill him, call him names. This is the mini adventure of a grouchy non-early-bird trying to track him down, and how she gets by with a little help from her friends. Pre OotP. Some fowl language.

A little piece I came across when searching for a fun little piece of amusement. Borders on parody in that some of the humour is perhaps deliberately fail but overall a short piece that didn't waste my few minutes of reading and typing this recommendation. 4/5

Meh, it didn't do it for me, the writing was solid, the plot was original, but it was incredibly dull and boring, I just couldn't get into it, and I didn't find it funny at all.

It was amusing, and an absolutely fantastic idea for a story. The author should have taken her time with it and created an adventure involving all of the familiars.

As it stands, it feels a little rushed. Some of the humor is groan-worthy--Hedwig uttering the words 'epic fail' springs to mind--but on the whole it was a fun way to spend five minutes.

    3.5/5 rounded up to 4/5

Look at the name, it should be obvious.
It was average. There wasn't anything uproariously funny, or anything particular that stuck out to me. I just thought it was decent, but nothing worth the library.

Riiiiiiiight. Decent grammar and such, but overall, semi-boring. I'm just glad it didn't go on any further. 3.5/5

I actually really didn't like this. Hedwig is a pet, one that is smart enough for Harry to communicate to her. But I don't see Trevorr...

Y'know what, screw it. I get that there's supposed to be a Suspension of Belief, but I still don't like it. Not funny, and there's no plot. 2/5

2.5/5, for being well-written. Other than that it lacked plot and wasn't funny.

It's dull. It's like a childrens' book, but without the pretty pictures.

Original and cool. Had me thinking for the second half of the story Hedwig was going to catch Harry and Hermione with their pants down.

Not bad, not bad at all.

Meh. There wasn't much of a plot. It might have been interesting if, say, Hedwig was attacked by Umbridge en route. Also, the Disneyesque secret animal communication grates on me like little else. At least I only lost five minutes.

I love Hedwig fics-she never gets much attention.

This was short and it was a little more parody than humor but I did like it. it was worth the read. It is always interesting to hear the side of the animals and pets.

    5/5.

While well written, it was boring. Not funny at all. And animals, as intelligent if not more so than humans? I dislike those.

I enjoyed it. It was just as billed - a short humor fic. It probably won't stand up to rereading, but it will give me some things to think about when I'm bored.

Excellent, but use of "epic fail" kept if from a 5. The story isn't meant to be plot oriented as it's supposed to give you a viewpoint of the different animals in the story. That way I like how Hedwig interacts with near every one of them in the castle.

    If this was a multi-chaptered story, I'd give it a 2/5.

Thankfully it's as advertised, a oneshot that made me smile. The ending kinda sucked so only a 4/5 from me.
