    I'm looking for a fairly long, and one-shot if memory serves, post-Reichenbach Sherlock fic in which John meets Mary Morstan or possibly Molly or some OC and her kid on a bus or a train. He deduces that she's got some terminal illness and they end up marrying. John writes up the cases as children's books and his wife dies but at the end Sherlock shows up at a signing with an older book in the series to request an autograph.

    Also welcome to any recommendations like CheddarTrek's.

    While we're on the subject, are there any good Sherlock fics in general? Preferably based on the BBC series.

    See the link to my post in his initial post for a few "almost recs" from me. Some of them are HPxover fics but some are pure Sherlock.

    Also check this out -- Sherlock Series by Magicbunni. Based on the BBC series and made it into the library.

    I think that the fic you are looking for is Detective Stories by Esama. You should be able to find it in one of the archives here.
