    I'm sort of blanking on a lot of the details of this story but I remember reading one where the dark and light are both vying for Harry to join their side and he's fairly torn. Harry really takes to Crouch impersonating Moody as a teacher/mentor and after this is revealed, Snape arranges for Crouch to continue mentoring him in secret.

    You may be looking for The Downward Spiral Saga by BolshevikMuppet99.

    It's a 6 book series, plus a one shot. It's pretty fucked up in terms of content. Definitely an M/NC-17. Crouch starts mentoring Harry and Draco in Book 3 I believe, Harry Potter and the Year of Broken Chains.
