    Status: Abandoned

    Pairings: None

One of those "Harry is trained by the founders and he's back to kick some ass" fics. Writing style is good, action is solid, characters are mostly in-canon.

Mysteries are nicely concieved but vastly overclued, which makes Harry seem like a moron for not figuring them out. The biggest problem with this story is that it's too mild for a "kick-ass Harry" fic (remember the K+ rating).

Nothing mind-blowing, but nice read nonetheless.

I added a link to the dubious hpfanficarchive. Someone else might check if there are more chapters in the Yahoo Group 'HP Recycling Bin'

Sure, as long as you PM me your e-mail...

The files are little messed up (removed absolute links and a script for resizing txt) but readable...

What can I do to help?

I know that the category is Adult -> Harry Potter, but I have M rated stories posted there. If I change that to some lower rating, they'll delete the group (at least I THINK they will - never had a group before)...

I don't know why don't you just acquire one of those Linux self-bootable CDs with the whole opperating system set up and ready to run - then when you need to do something underhanded, boot it up and do it using that.

I agree harry is kinda an idiot, and not enough action, but it's well written and good cliffhangers at the end of chapters that make the story interesting.

    Story Removed

Seems ff.net decided to remove this story for excessive author-notes.

    So the link is broken.

In many ways, this story failed HARD.

The first chapter, even though it's crucial to the story, is frankly difficult to get through. Harry trained by the Founders is cringe-worthy, but that segment is thankfully short and Harry quickly returns to his own time.

There are definitely some interesting parts, what with Voldemort's new #1, and Dumbledore's portrayal is surprisingly good, taking into account the fact that this was 2006, the year of the manipulative!Dumbledore that makes me vomit.

Harry's skillz are overgenerous, and the fact that he basically becomes an anonymous superhero makes me roll my eyes every time I see it.

That said, the writing is decent (though the font, in bornagainpenguin's archive, is annoying as FUCK), and for its time, the story was probably brilliant.

I'll go ahead and give this a 3.5/5, rounded up to 4 - not up the library's current standards, but taking into account history, and the time period, this is a good long story that sort of sucks you in.
