TOMD: Just started a new contact. A sister company is splitting from the parent company on a technical level. I was expecting to be handling fallout from a domain migration gone awry - basic desktop support stuff. Instead, I just finished drafting requirements for their entire domain infrastructure, including data control and ownership, GDPR requirements, division of labour between in house and the vendor building the servers, migration process, etc. It's fucking fantastic resume fodder. I wouldn't normally be doing this sort of stuff for another few years! E: OK cool I'm also evaluating and delivering a report on a multimillion vendor relationship and designing their SEIM/security architecture. I sure feel like a real consultant now!
