I can't imagine I'm now the only person around here who still follows this series, as popular as it was back when we had the general purpose manga thread. The new, post-Workshop Battle arc finally seems to be hitting its stride and has more the feel of the 'better' parts of the series. More trickery and less straight-out fighting, which is a good thing. I'd initially had a hard time getting into it because of my frustration with SIU feeling the need to change the entire supporting cast yet again while many of my old favorites (particularly Androssi) are left rotting on the vine. However, I'm coming to like these newcomers at least more than I ever did Team Tangsooyook, especially Boro and Aka Williams. Their stories seem interesting, and tie Baam in much more closely to the Train and the Hidden Floor at the end than he would have been had he come up with his pre-existing chums. In this, Baam finally seems to have assembled something of a team that is worthy of him, bound together by a common interest (sharing Baam's loathing of FUG). Looking forward to some proper ass kicking when Baam decides to quit dicking around and break out his full power on some unfortunate person. And perhaps he won't even have to protect liability characters for a change. In general, enjoying these Wangnan-free chapters while they last, which will sadly likely not be much longer.
