Now this is something I found amusing. Limb-Chopping!Harry with some Mystery/Suspense, what looks like developing plot and my favorite pairing is always a tasty treat for me.
The only downside of the fic that I noticed are small (less than 5k) chapters.

All in all, 4.7/5 from me.

Oh and it may not be really Dark!Harry right now but... let's say, I placed this story in "Dark Arts" for a reason.

I didn't really think much of it until I read this.

The loud twang of the heavy crossbow sang throughout the Great Hall as the bolt flew from the inset where it had rested in preparation of battle. The bolt whizzed through the air narrowly missing several students who instinctively stopped in response... all except for Justin Finch-Fletchley who didn't even have time to scream before he received the business end through the left side of his mouth that he had opened in horror. The pointed end drove out of the back of his head splattering Dumbledore with a mixture of gray gore and blood across his violet robes.

    4/5

So...Harry isn't using magic? He's using medieval Muggle weaponry?

He`s using both. The main reason for him to carry a bloodied Axe is to intimidate the captured Death Eaters. That and the severed limbs of their comrades.

Hmm, after reading a bit more, I'd give it 3/5.

I remember reading this a very long time ago. I enjoyed it then, and I still enjoy it now. Not enough updates though.

Anyone who's ever seen a movie will be able to guess the whole plot.

1/5 from me, simply because I find it plain boring and predictable.

Not ... bad really... I enjoy it, though it IS predictable to a degree. Reminds me of Entropy curses (Think thats what they're called anyway. >_>) from Dresden Files.

Still, it kicks ass. It might be predictable, but it's good.

I enjoyed it. It is very original, and the mystery part is intriguing, although I hope the force behind the deaths is something more clever than the plot device of some "ancient dark spell". 4/5

It's doubtful that it's anything "more clever than the plot device of some ancient dark spell", as Wisdom's Mountain so eloquently put it, but there can never be enough Axe-Wielding!Harry.

    4/5 and quite promising.

$10 in the currency of your choice that it involves a deal with a demon.

Not bad, but not spectacular... yet. 3.5 for now, but No vote from me for at least another chapter.

Currency: if only rep was still around... No bet, but this story would be awesome if it was some sort of inside job. (Tonks and her powerful imperio curse ftw)

Does the author refer to her chapters as potions? That's bizzare, but interesting.

The death per hour thing struck me as something out of a badly written horror movie.

Also, the chapter-naming scheme does not inspire hope. If there are twenty deaths left, and therefore twenty chapters left, and the story's already taken years - just over 4 to be exact - I really don't hold much hope for seeing it completed while my interest in this fandom lasts.

Harry's attitude towards the Order and Dumbledore is much like the standard Harry in those Independent!Harry fics, except Dumbledore isn't manipulative, evil, robbing him blind, etc. The drama was pretty good, as were some one-liners like
, but the writing wasn't overly good.

There are very few book series, much less fics, that I'm willing to wait 20 years for, and this is not one of them. It looks like it will take that long, if the author holds to her 1 chapter per year update rate.

    A 3/5.

Actually she had a break from fanfiction that lasted over a year and which is now over.

I really like the new Axe-Wielding! Harry, chopping off of limbs is always enjoyable to read.

This is one of those stories that you have to suspend the disbelief for. Recognize the bad, but enjoy the good. I'm all for Harry killing a mess of people with an axe, that's pretty much badass. If you're going to nit-pick this one, just think about it logically: why wouldn't Voldemort have Harry first on his list? The reason for some aspects of this fic are obvious, there wouldn't be a story without them.

I'll give this one a 4/5. It would've easily been a 5/5 if Harry had castrated Malfoy.

New chap. Heather didn't follow the pattern of killing one of Harry's friends each hour and this chap is actually deathless. Some people might not like it but I say it's for the best. The story now is less predictable.
P.S. Oh, wait, scratch "deathless". I forgot that Dumbledore is out of the game now.
