What is the best Harry Potter you have ever found? Whether it be from a comedy like the Make a Wish series, in which Harry is insanely powerful but is also funny and pretty cool. Or in a story like Harry Johnson and the Headmaster's Socks, where Harry is just one bad ass mo-fo you don't want to mess with. If you can't pick one Harry, name a few or name your favorite from each character stereotype (funny, serious, bad ass, etc.)

My personal favourite is nonjon's "Brown Coat, Green Eyes".

This is a slightly different question though in that he's asking about the character of Harry Potter, not the story. And while there are an awful lot that I like the first two that came to mind were the supremely sarcastic!Harry of opalish's Invictus and the unique blending of Dumbledore and Harry in liath's In Light of Silver Memories. Both stories appear abandoned though, so do not even rate to me, but the character of Harry in those two stood out and made me happy.

    This is the correct answer.

edit: Also, Draco66's sarcastic!Harry in his Apprentice/Journeyman Potter is awesome. Sometimes though he gets a little too over-the-top and immature, but overall he's pretty badass.

I agree. I like the Harry in Shezza's Denarian Renegade series for similar reasons, but Draco66's Harry has less moments of immaturity.

Yeah, In Light of Silver Memories ranks pretty high.

Shezza's Harry in Denarian Renegade is pretty well characterised and funny, though not too mature...

Big D's Harry in What Would Slytherin Harry Do? is damn good too.

From what little we saw, Harry in The Minister would have kicked arse as well.

Look at the name, it should be obvious.
What ever happened to that story? I was looking forward to a political Harry, and it was Harry/fem!Blaise....

I like Harry from Big D's WWSHD, Shezza's Denarian Series, A Black Comedy, Terminal Justice (Harry Potter/JLU Crossover), Of Blood and Power, Browncoat and Green Eyes, and HJ from The Lie I Have Lived (hybrid of Harry and James).

    Edit;
I don't know how I forgot him, but Vash's Harry in Oedipus Flower was fucking fantastic, in a sick way of course.

I'd say that the Harry from the end of Stranger in an Unholy Land was pretty awesome.

Thalarian's Harry from Queens Of Darkness, Ladies Of Light is quite possibly the most awesome Harry ever.

'The Demon Within' had a badass Harry moments
Harry from 'Make a Wish' is one of the best though, before all sequels and weird crossovers though

Ill just copy and paste that all day long... I still re-read that story just for the characterization.

The best Harry I've read is the one from Shezza's Denarian series, followed by Big D's in WWSHD.

But with all the stories that are mentioned here (most of which I haven't read), that might change...

That's a good story, but that one is really memorable to me for someone finally taking Harry's advice on angry sex.

I'm a big fan of Harry from nonjon's Black Comedy (as well as the entire Potter family, to be honest) and WWSHD's Harry is the best kind of asshole. I prefer when Harry accepts that he's never going to be outside of the spotlight and tries to have a little fun with it. These stories are the highlights of that particular genre.

A Bungle in the Jungle's Harry was pretty cool (although I think the sequel has fallen a step) but I think alot of what made Jbern's Harry great was in the characters around him. And on a similar topic, The Lie That I've Lived's Harry/James combo gets five stars from me.

Not a bad thread here either.

Rahkesh Asmodaeus and A Black Comedy's Harry would have to be my favourite. But I'll read some of the aforementioned fics that I haven't yet.

Harry from Mizuni Sama's "Prince of the Dark Kingdom" is pretty good. An entirely believable character with his own strengths and weaknesses.
nuhuh's Harry from "Demons pain" is quite possibly my favourite Harry ever. Nothing beats bat-shit insane Harry ;)
Personally I don't see why everyone's getting premature over "A second chance at life". It's not that well written, and it's not Harry Potter anymore. 3/5 if I'm feeling very generous.
