Andromalius: "Speaking of Americanisms, could someone compile a list so the non-British writers know what to avoid?"

Andromalius brought this up in a intro, and since no one else made a thread for it, thought I would.

Post any Americanism's that a teen from England, that rarely/if ever watched T.V or listened to the radio, would never see nor hear of if not for Authors deciding the have.

And lets try and label them.

Culture, Language, Slang, T.V, Movies, Etc.

I vaguely remember Tinn posting a site that listed various America expressions.
    Anyone else have the link?

I think that's a British thing also, but I'm not sure.

Anyone from California hear people use Hella? My friends out of state say they have only heard it from Californians. I myself use it every now and again. >_>

You usually only hear hella in northern California, its more of a joke in here in so cal. Though I wouldn't be surprised if anyone anywhere else said it, its somewhat prevalent I suppose.
