Ok, my host dad is having a big problem with his internet connection right now. The thing is, his laptop won't connect to the wireless network, even though mine will, and so will his PC.

He told me that a while ago they changed IP addresses. Before then, he could connect to the wireless fine. After they changed, it all went to shit. His laptop can still connect to the work network though, it's only at home that it screws up.

    Any thoughts?

    Host dad?

    As in, foreign exchange host?

I'm not quite understanding the situation. You're at another person's house and your laptop will connect to their wireless network but theirs won't?

Er... change the IP address for the laptop, make sure it's something in your routers range? At least, I think that's the problem, I'm probably wrong. >_>

Does his computer save the network details and all that jazz? If so, delete it and readd it. It should connect. Because Winblows is just that good.

    If not, moar details please.

Set the IP as Automatic, and make sure you have the encryption key required to connect to the network if the network is encrypted.
