    This was on HP Lexicon.

    So, who do you reckon this Order member is? I have this funny feeling about Alberforth Dumbledore... I mean, he hasnt done anything at all during the entire series. We know he was a member of the Order in the old days and even Moody said that the only time he ever saw Alberforth was when they took that picture of the group. I wonder what that old timer has been up too lately though? Maybe he knows of the Horcruxes, helping his brother discover them? Dunno...

    What are your peoples thoughts?

    Nah. I think it's gonna be a new order member or someone really undercover. I mean, Dumbledore is such a manipulating old coot that i can't put it past him to have someone who reports to him and him only. *shrugs* I dunno.. My money is with a new member.

    Yeah except if you actually read what Dark Syaoran quoted then you would see we already know of them. I have to agree its probably Aberforth, if I remember correctly she all but said that the bartender in Hog's Head was Aberforth, so that would fit the phrase "met properly" because we have met him we/Harry just didn't know it was him.

    yeh it seems logical that its Aberforth, I hope he has similar power-levels as Dumbles I

    HESTIA.... can't remember her last name... think its Jones... You know the woman laughing over a potato peeler in OotP.

    She will be Dumbledore's secret granddaughter and the woman who takes Ron away from Hermy while having a love affair with Ginny...

    But I suppose it could be worse... she could be Albefords granddaughter and be part goat... :shock:

    Someone said something about the person only reporting to Dumbledore alone? Well, that'd be Aberforth, wouldnt it? Since even Moody, who is probably one of the most trusted members, only met him once. It's obvious he was doing undercover work that only Albus knew about.

    Or maybe he just sat at the pub and reported things what drunk customers said... then again, who'd be stupid enough to say anything in front of Albus' brother unless its not common knowledge that he actually owns the pub...

    Hrmm... he is the obvious choice though. Who else has been mentioned in the books but we havnt seen much of or at all... Diggle... but we saw some of him in OotP didnt we. He was one of Harry's 'advanced' guard. Still, he hasnt been seen THAT much. Hrmmm...

    Yes. I believe it was in the first book. Albus says something about his brother getting in trouble for 'Practicing inappropriate charms on a goat'. God knows what he was actually doing...

    Albus drops hints (possibly fake) that Aberforth is illiterate.
